The sets for 'Jeanne D' Arc'

In the years around 1990, art historian Britta Martensen-Larsen organised an exhibition about La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc. It was presented on several occasions in Paris, and later at the Nikolaj Church in Copenhagen and in Poland. In an article in Kosmorama, Martensen-Larsen discusses Dreyer’s work creating his film’s mediaeval environment and the painstaking research that went into his set designs. Also, read a short article by Dan Nissen about film architect Hermann Warm and view Warm’s amazing models for La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc.
