How do you access the materials from The Carl Th. Dreyer Collection? How may you use the materials? Whom do you contact? Read about it here.

All documents from Dreyer’s files are found in the Danish Film Institute’s Carl Th. Dreyer Collection. If you wish to view documents from the collection, please contact the DFI Library during opening hours or send a request to the below address. If the request involves an extensive research project, we would like to know in advance. Researchers are welcome to make an appointment with the DFI Library to access the collection.

The collection is organised according to a special system (see About the Collection). Please note the classification of the documents, as this indicates the documents’ placement in the collection. An appointment can be made to view requested documents in the Library Reading Room.

Please direct inquiries regarding photos, stills and posters directly to the DFI Stills and Posters Archive.
